Major Telecommunications Provider Uses SimpleFeed to Sell New Services


  Business Challenge
A major telecommunications provider is in the midst of spending $16 billion on a high speed internet build out. The company faced challenges in educating consumers to the new offerings, acquiring customers for the new services and developing a pipeline of customers as the service became available.

  Solution
The company established RSS Feeds with press release and product information content through SimpleFeed. Customers were able to customize their RSS Feed content based on products of interest through a preference center (image 1).

As subscribership group and new internet services were rolled out, the company was able to insert product content with strong calls to action which pulled RSS subscribers from the feeds into their sales process (image 2).

  Results
In the example above in Yahoo RSS reader, the subscriber can enter a phone number to see if they are eligible for the offer. Those subscribers who were eligible for high speed internet offerings were able to purchase through their website. Those that were not eligible were able to sign up for notice as soon as it was available. The major telecommunication company was able to turn RSS subscribers into sales and generate leads as their high speed internet service deployed.
